HFN’s Energy and Natural Resources department is the market leader in providing legal support to all players in this sector, and has been involved in almost all of the major energy and natural resources projects in Israel.
The Energy and Natural Resources department has extensive experience advising entrepreneurs, financial institutions and technology providers (both Israel and international) in all areas of this complicated field. The department has expertise in: regulatory and financial aspects; licensing; tenders; construction; operational matters for renewable energy projects (such as wind farms, stored energy and others), desalination projects, natural gas resources and other related issues.
Recently, the department has advised in prominent energy and natural resources projects including the Hadera desalination project, the Palmachim desalination project, the Dorad IPP, the Ashdod Energy IPP and several renewable energy projects.
The Energy and Natural Resources department is led by Mark Phillips and Adam Eytan, who also serve as heads of the Project Finance department. Mark and Adam are renowned for their expertise in these two sectors, and are active participants in the review process for proposed government regulations.
