The Hi-Tech department is well-known in the industry for its extensive work on M&A transactions, private equity and strategic and financing transactions. Recently, HFN's Hi-Tech department advised leading private equity firm GTCR in its acquisition of Fundtech, a deal which appeared on the New York Times list "The Top of the Class in Deal-Making", which highlighted the "best deals and deal-makers of 2011" from around the world.
The Hi-Tech department advises clients developing cutting edge technologies in every technological space from the traditional to the recently developed. Typical Hi-Tech clients range from early start-up companies to large multinational and publicly traded corporations, and come from industries including: semiconductor, communication, information technology, enterprise software, security, storage, testing and optimisation technologies, media, internet, e-commerce, medical equipment, medical devices, pharmaceutical, Clean-Tech (water and energy), chemical, seed, agriculture and food companies.
