Meir Linzen, senior partner and Herzog Fox & Neeman's managing partner, is regarded as one of Israel's leading tax experts. Meir heads the firm's tax department, which is the largest and best known in Israel. He specializes in tax planning for cross border transactions and has particular expertise in tax issues relating to international mergers and acquisitions in Israel.


The tax department, headed by Meir, has been involved in the tax aspects of some of the largest transactions in the Israeli market in recent years. These transactions often involve multinational corporations active in Israel and consequently, Meir advises on substantive tax issues with respect to acquiring local corporations as well as issues of transfer pricing, benefits for investors and employee benefits.


Meir has unparalleled experience and expertise in advising banks and multinational corporations with regards to their activities in Israel, as well as in advising private clients in their cross border activities, including international tax and estate planning.

Meir is among the leading and prominent lawyers in the E-Commerce field. In addition, due to his background in international law, Meir is also considered as a leading expert in Public International Law and in Defence and Homeland Security.


Additional Professional Experience:

  • Within the framework of the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, and the Norwegian Government, composed the model for cooperation between Israel and the Palestinian Authority
  • Under the auspices of the Dutch Government and in conjunction with Palestinian, Jordanian, and Israeli colleagues, designed the model for a Triangular Tax Treaty
  • Adjunct Professor in Tax Law at Tel Aviv University, Bar Ilan University, and Ben Gurion University and former member of the Editorial Board of the Tel Aviv University Law Review
  • Represented the Israel Bar Association in reform legislation concerning mergers and spin-offs and in discussions with the Income Tax Authority, and contributed significantly to the process of this reform legislation in the Knesset
  • Prepared the Israel Bar Association Report regarding the Tax Reform and represented the Bar Association before the Government
  • Former Deputy Head of the International Law Department of the Office of the Judge Advocate General of the Israel Defence Forces, holding the rank of Lt. Colonel (reserves)
