Further to the Supreme Court's decision in the matter of Bayer v. Plurality Ltd. (in Liquidation) (Request for Civil Appeal 3564/12, 4099/12), the IP Department issued a client update regarding employees' right to royalties for service inventions and regarding the authority of the Compensation and Royalties Committee acting under section 134 of the Patent Law. The update addresses the main issues discussed in the decision as well as its possible effect on the matter of royalties for service inventions.
