Profile

As Head of HFN's Hi-Tech Department, Yair's practice concentrates on business law, venture capital, and mergers and acquisitions. Yair advises venture capital funds, as well as start-up and mature companies in a range of industries, including financial technologies, internet & media, augmented and virtual reality, next generation hardware, cybersecurity and medical technologies. He counsels companies on all significant business and legal issues facing them, from their initial financing through acquisition and initial public offerings, as well as general corporate matters.

Yair is rated as a "Leading Lawyer" by the International Financial Law Review (IFLR(. 

In 2015, Chambers Global Guide and Legal500 recognized Yair as a leading practitioner of Hi-Tech M&A.

Before joining HFN, Yair practiced in the M&A Group of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP and in the Corporate and M&A Group of Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP.

Some of Yair's venture fund and private equity clients include Coral Group, Centillion Fund, the Elevator Fund, LongTec Medical and Fosun. Recently, Yair has represented Checkmarx, Adience, and Pebbles in exits to international acquirers and Forter, Credorax, and Tapingo in their most recent financing rounds. He also heads HFN's China desk and represents some of China's largest tech companies.

Yair speaks frequently on financing and entrepreneurship at Tech Conferences around the world.

He is the Chairman of the Israel-Singapore Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Executive Committee of the Israel-Asia Chamber of Commerce.
