THE HISTORY
Herzog,
Fox, and Neeman (HFN) is one of Israels foremost corporate and commercial
law offices representing leading companies worldwide. The firm was founded
in 1972 by three prominent lawyers: the late Chaim
Herzog, later to become the sixth President of the State of Israel,
Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations, and member of the Israeli parliament;
Michael Fox, formerly a London solicitor, known for his corporate work
and his legal contributions to the development of the infrastructure,
energy and natural resources of Israel; and Yaakov Neeman, author of numerous
books and articles on tax law and respected tax advisor to the government
and major local and foreign corporations.
THE FIRM
Full Service Law Office for International Corporate
Transactions
The
firm provides a complete package of legal services to domestic and foreign
clients, with an emphasis on cross-border corporate and finance transactions
and infrastructure projects. As a full-service international law firm
with a diversified corporate practice and the largest tax department of
any general commercial law office in Israel, HFN is especially equipped
to handle multinational transactions of all types. This includes legal
advice with respect to complex mergers, acquisitions, investments, joint
ventures, securities offerings, and corporate re-organisations as well
as infrastructure development, energy and natural resources, construction
and property development, telecommunications, internet, and information
technology. Each transaction, when required, is supported by team members
from the administrative, anti-trust and competition, employment, and tax
practice areas, and when necessary by the litigation department. Involved
from the beginning in the privatisation and liberalisation of the Israeli
market, the firm has also been active in the drafting process of the regulations
and legislation that shape that market. HFN is the Israeli member of the
World Law Group and Michael Fox is the country representative of the International
Bar Association. The firms internationally educated and multilingual
team of lawyers and administrative staff is proficient in English, Hebrew,
French, and German. For this quality and breadth of services, HFN has
consistently been ranked at the top by The European 500, Dun and Bradstreet
and Chambers Global Directory.
HFN was recently selected by Who'sWhoLegal as Israeli Law Firm of the Year for 2007.
