HFN’s Capital Markets and Securities Department is Israel’s preeminent practice and is regularly involved in the largest and most significant transactions in Israel, including groundbreaking and innovative matters, both on the regulatory side and the transactional side.
The department’s notable track record and extensive scope of the work incorporating all areas of capital markets and securities law has placed the department at the top of the list for multinational and domestic companies operating in Israel.
The Capital Markets and Securities department is consistently named as a leading practice in Israel by international and domestic legal directories including Chambers Global, Legal 500, BDI and Dun’s 100.
The Capital Markets and Securities department’s client base is divided into three main categories:
Publicly-Traded Companies - with respect to mergers and acquisitions, public equity and debt offerings (to both institutional investors and the public) and other corporate finance transactions, as well as with their ongoing activities and reporting requirements and all regulatory advice.
Domestic Investment Houses - with respect to mergers and acquisitions, as well as ongoing advice with respect to all aspects of asset management activity (provident funds, mutual funds, portfolio management, stock-exchange members’ activity, ETFs and underwriting, distribution of traded securities and insurance agencies' activity).
Foreign Banks and Investment Houses - in their operations within Israel in all financial aspects related to securities and other financial instruments, as well as their investment banking activity in Israel.
The range of clients and the scope of work demand specific expertise in various capital markets disciplines, and so the department is organised in specialised teams within the practice:
- Publicly Traded Companies and Public and Private Issuances of Securities
- Asset Management
- Capital Markets Mergers and Acquisitions
- Prime Services/Equities
