Herzog Fox & Neeman and Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP to Host Seminar Regarding the Dodd-Frank Act

This seminar will discuss the new Dodd-Frank derivatives regulation and its anticipated impact on Israeli financial and nonfinancial companies.

The United States’ Dodd-Frank Act creates a new regulatory regime for derivatives, which will largely come into effect on or around December 31, 2012. As a result, time is short to understand these new U.S. legal requirements and their significant effect on your business. Unfortunately, the U.S. regulators appear to be taking a very broad view of the applicability of these rules outside the United States, meaning that many Israeli firms will come within its reach and will be subject to significant registration, capital, margin, business conduct and other requirements. Please join us as Annette Nazareth and Gabriel Rosenberg from Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, a leading U.S. law firm in the area of Dodd-Frank, provide an overview of this new Dodd-Frank derivatives regulation, with a focus on the practical questions of what Israeli financial and nonfinancial companies need to do and when.
