HFN Advises Israel Electric Company in USD 1.5 Billion Global Offering

HFN represented the Israel Electric Company in a USD 1.5 billion global Rule 144/Reg. S offering underwritten by Barclays Capital and Citi Bank. The offering, which is the largest offering in Israel in recent years, was conducted in Frankfurt, London, Boston, Los Angeles and New York. The bonds are listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange.

This complex matter required firm-wide cooperation and included a team of lawyers from multiple departments, including Corporate, Tax, Labour & Employment and Environment & Climate Change. HFN's Tax department handled a special tax exemption for non-Israeli note holders issued by the Minister of Finance and several unique complementary arrangements.

The HFN team was led by Capital Markets & Securities partner Nir Dash and Ron Ben-Menachem.
