High Court of Justice (HCJ) Issues Favorable Decision for Israel Railways

Israel Railways, which was represented in this matter by Herzog Fox & Neeman, won an important petition contesting the legality of the planned route of the multi-billion USD high speed rail line between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

The petitioners, residents of the Palestinian village Beit Iksa, challenged the State of Israel's decision to have part of the route of the rail line from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem pass through the West Bank.

The Supreme Court, after hearing extensive arguments on behalf of Israel Railways, rejected the petition.

This matter was handled by Daniel Reisner, head of the Public International Law Department and Litigation and Dispute Resolution advocate, Ra'anan Sagi on behalf of Israel Railways.
