Gil is a first port of call for Israeli clients in regards to their commercial objectives internationally, especially in the e-commerce sector, with a focus on regulated industries. As the head of HFN’s E-Commerce Department, Gil has, for over a decade, counselled the world’s leading internet gaming and fintech companies with respect to corporate and commercial issues. Together with his team, Gil has led the development of HFN’s industry leading Cryptocurrency Practice.

His practice focuses on advising clients in innovative industries on a range of issues concentrating primarily on matters pertaining to licensing, regulation, litigation and day-to-day operations. Gil’s experience in such industries has dove-tailed into advising cryptocurrency clients in their strategic planning towards Initial Coin Offerings and advising established clients looking to incorporate cryptocurrencies and block-chain technology in their existing businesses. In addition, Gil provides counsel to traditional financial sector players looking to expand their businesses into the world of cryptocurrency.

Over the years, Gil has coordinated initial public offerings and M&A transactions on behalf of online gaming companies which have proved to be standard-setting in the nascent industry. Recognised by Chambers Global as a Band 1 lawyer in Gaming & Gambling, Gil is currently at the forefront of working with HFN’s clients to secure licensing and regulation in newly regulated jurisdictions such as the State of Nevada, Spain and Denmark.

Gil also specialises in representing lenders in international financing transactions. He has unique experience in acting on behalf of Israeli banks financing Israeli-owned international groups in the real estate sector and other cross-border activities, often coordinating teams of international legal counsel in various jurisdictions. Additionally, Gil frequently represents major international financial institutions lending into Israel.

Gil serves as HFN's International Relationships Partner, responsible for coordinating and maintaining HFN's relationships with international law firms and clients.
